| my flame dwarf gaurami is the reason i have become addicted to fishkeeping. he is so interseting to watch and he has so much personality, even though he is kind of an jerk he is the pride of my fish collection so far and i look forward to experiencing other breeds of gouramis

| my likes the "dwarfs" beacuse they are like awesome!!(personal fave for looks) stays small(ish) has great colors and variants.

Oddly, though, thepicture posted by TFA101 of a honey does not look like mine at all! Mine are yellow with a touch of orange around the outer fins. Do I have a honey? | |

| I have what I have seen called Honey/Gold/Flame gourami. I wasn't sure I liked their personalities at first, especially the older one. But now as they have aged, they have really mellowed out and just chill in my tank. I posted a story about the older one in the age of fish thread. Because of his ordeal, he has a special place in my heart even if he was a stinker when he was older. Looking at "images of gouramis" it looks like I may have the variant of honey.
I would like to get a more exotic looking gourami down the road. | |
