Which do you prefer... Guppies or mollies? Please write why.

i went for mollies, i like their color and variety of fins and tails. they are much easier to breed for me and the babies come out larger. i also like how they get bigger.

I Love Guppies. They are easy,pretty and there are tons of them...I love watching all the babies grow and get all thier different colors & patterns.

I love the guppies a LOT more than Mollies mainly because Lyre tail guppies look AWESOME (male ones) and male regular guppies too They also like aquarium salt meaning that they don't get sick from the over use of salt I hear they are brackish fishes or they like being in salty waters. But they can stay in freshwater too for a while. It's what I have heard and read through books

I agree with the majority, I love the colors. I keep one tank with all males and one tank with mostly females. I take three of my best males and put them in with the females. "My" offspring are beautiful!

I like mollies better. I've kept both (strictly males though) and I love the personality of mollies over the personality of guppies. Guppies just 'gup' along, but my mollies were a hoot to watch. And silver mollies are stunning.

definitly mollies, they have such cool personalities, they love to peck at my hands when i change the water, non of my guppies ever interacted like the mollies

I like guppies better because they are more colorful and they fit in my daughter's 20 gallon aquarium, so it makes her happy (for the moment-now she wants HER tank #3)

Mollies for me. I have 6 of them and I love them. I have a very pretty male dalmatian molly. My mollies also peck at my hands when I clean the tank or I'm fixing things.

i love mollies tho i have both mollies and guppys. i just love the look of mollies and ive seen mine grow and its been sooooo kewl

I like guppies more , more colors and variations than mollys. Also my guppy fry are funer to watch grow up, they start out one ugly color then they slowly change and get more and more colorful. Molly babies start out black or silver and stay that color. My guppies seem to have less problems than my mollies.

I adore my Mollies They look gorgeous and have so much personality, they're all so individual!
My Mollies also swim up to my hand whenever I'm there and brush against my hand then come back and do it again! They also peck at my hand too and it's just too adorable!
They have also started to recognise me (admitedly as a food giver, nothing more probably lol)

I have kept both, but I prefer mollies because they follow my finger around the glass, and come to the glass when they see me.. lol

I prefer guppies. I have had a total of 5 mollies over time and they have all died due to mysterious causes... Water has been fine, no diseases, nothing, but they have just gone. Mollies are more personable and friendly, but my guppies last longer (plus I have 9 fry growing right now as before and am so excited, all 5 molly fry i found died as well...)

I definitely prefer mollies. I like bigger fish in general. My mollies are so intelligent and aware of what's going on outside the tank and I never had that with the guppies I had when I was a kid. I feel like guppies have been so terribly inbred that they're just swimming timebombs.
