Trade in the Big Guy? Axolotl

I have a 9 inch axolotl. i am thinking of trading him in because i am not giving the "proper care" he needs. i have just been feeding him beef heart for about 5 months straight. i don't want to buy him feeders because they cost a fortune. i figured give him processed food all his life wouldn't be to good.

please do the poll

It might be hard to find someone who wants him, and can care for him correctly, but I believe that this would be your best option.

if you don't feel that you can care for him properly then i think the best choice would be to return him

i was thinking that, i'm not giving him the right care because i am so busy. and like i said he costs a fortune, food wise. i'll see what other people say.

i have seen other peeples axolotyls fed meat and it doesnt look like it harmed him/her but i do believe if your feeling unsure you should wait for more replies. What live bearers did you plan to buy anyway

Bottom line, if you can't care properly for the fish, you shouldn't have the fish.

Megustaunapez , bad wolf as asking for some advice ..although I agree in part with you, being so abrupt and rude isnt required

IMO a responsible loving fish/animal lover finds proper homes for their animals when they have the sense that they cant care for them properly..that shows maturity, love , and respect for all living creatures when someone is able to do that...

Oh, I'm sorry Shawnie, I really didn't mean for it to come across that way...
I'll try and be more careful in the future.

It sounds like you've made the decision and it's a good one. Find him a new home.

trading him in is probably best option. Who knows maybe a pet store will buy him off you.
