As of this time, I have 4 fry, living well and hidden inside a 'bulk' of plants. I can see there are 3 sunbursts and 1 yellow twin bar. This is my first attempt at keeping them alive. I watch with a protective eye, lol. As the others seek and await a chance sighting. They are just wonderful little darlings

I have bread swordtails, yellow labs, elongatus, and red zebras....not on purpose though, lol. They just kind of did their thing, but I didn't raise the fry. One of these days when I have more room I would really like to try my hand at seriously breeding fish

You will be surprised how the africans breed. Its nothing for months then they are putting out fry like crazy. I have 3 holding mommas at any given time now. It took 5 months to get them breeding from my first mbuna.

Can't wait to see more little ones around. As for now only have 4 that are unknown parents they have the color of Red Zebras but they look longer and is a as a matter of facts when we found them in the tank hiding a few days before one of the females the one that look like my mystery fish was beat up and withing a day she was full of the white cotton fungus and that same day I found her motionless on the breeding tank. So I'm starting to think that are from my mystery fish. (Which BTW is showing dark body lines like the Johannis do but wider.) So now I'm really clueless. hehe

I breed African cichlids and some Guppy's.

The cichlids are Pseudotropheus sp. "Acei" (Ngara). I also have some young Yellow Labs that are going to breed when they grow up and once I get a hold of the ones I'm trying to find, I'll be breeding some Aulonocara species. My avatar is one that I am looking for

i read on a website saying live bearers were hard to breed. i would agree. it's not as easy as they say because getting the timing right (timing when the female gives birth) is hard. i've had 5 different times where i missed a batch.

It's easy to breed the Livebearers, but saving the fry can be tricky. After a while though you get used to the signs of when a fish is going to give birth.

It only takes a second for them to mate. I have never seen my male Snakeskin Guppy chasing the females, but they keep producing Snakeskin babies!

It's a breed of fancy guppy. The body and fins of the Guppy look like the skin of a snake. I'll try and get a pic but they don't usually stay still long enough..........

I breed corydoras catfish (sometimes by accident, but mostly on purpose), and I'm also working on breeding my cockatoo cichlids and my angelfish. I have bred platies before, but I stopped.
