lol, seriously! it gets me every time! | Louis Armstrong is like the coolest guy to ever walk the earth. Seriously. Ray Charles is also amazing.
Plus Nat King Cole (is that jazz?), Benny Goodman, Michel Camilo, um... some other people which I am too tired to think of right now. Even some jazz fusion... that stuff is CRAZY I tell you! |

nat king cole would fall under jazz, he's definitely a jazz pianist and a jazz and "big band" vocalist or something like that.
i have a really great album of rap songs covered by this really incredible jazz group with just the vocals from the original rap song on the track, it's amazing! |

Haha, sounds very interesting
Oh, and if we're saying best song ever, not just songs you listen to when angry, then I would probably have to pick either "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" or "Echoes", both by Pink Floyd. Absolute masterpieces. |

Lol, it definitely is. I'm really into that kind of music right now, that and a lot of "alternative" music has definitely been my binge recently.
Favorite song ever? i'm going to have to say fast car by tracy chapman, i'm pretty sure that song is part of the top 100 songs EVER, and it's too awesome for words! |

| To the person who said that she listened to Aqua in middle school: Thanks for making me feel old. I was in college when Barbie Girl came out. Anyway, yes, I have both of their albums, as well as a copy of Aqua and Pavaroti singing Funiculi Funicula, and Lene's solo album, and listen to all of them still.
PinkFloydPuffer: Us, cause problems? Nah... Anyway, I only have Knights of Cydonia from iTunes. I didn't get the whole album (largely because I couldn't afford it.) That reminds me, I was going to ask you this in PM, but why not try to derail another thread? Have you ever listened to bands like Nightwish or Sirenia? They're Scandinavian metal bands.
Now, to answer the new scope of the thread:
When I'm angry, Through the Fire and the Flames (or any Dragonforce, really), No Leaf Clover, or anything by KMFDM or Rammstein is good.
Edit: Oh, and someone said something about reggae, reminding me of another good angry-listening band: Skindred. Nothing got me through a race in Need for Speed: Underground faster than running other drivers off the road to Nobody. Last edited by sirdarksol; March 6th, 2009 at 08:33 AM.

| I guess I am old(ish). When I am feeling angry I go for Black Flag, Misfits, Minor Threat, DK, System of a Down, sometimes old Metallica though I prefer the old punk.
When I am feeling not angry I break out Sinatra, Van Morrison (old stuff),Everclear, and whatever else happens to be on the pod. |

Aw man, I have all their albums. Amazing band.
Woohoo, derailing! I actually have heard Nightwish. Really weird (or should I say different? ) Haven't listened to the a ton though. But they're definitely unique |

| I'd say Rammstein works for anger. But it bugs me that I don't know what the heck they are saying. |

| I'm famous in my school for having no emotions, so I don't really an angry song or anything like that. I've had Warriors of the world united by Manowar in my head for a while now. I've been listening to Amon Amarth, In Flames, and Children of Bodom lately. And a couple other death metal, power, and melodic death metal bands. |

| Depending what mood I am in. I like Enya, Evenesance, Queen of the Dambed Soundtrack (I like vampire movies) , Journey (my fav) Bryan Adams and even Madonna.
Hmmmm....Queen of the Dambed Soundtrack is one I hit up if I am not in a good mood or the Tomb Raider movie Soundtracks I crank up if in a bad mood. Last edited by AlyeskaGirl; March 6th, 2009 at 06:47 PM.

[/i] | Awww, sorry SDS I don't think you're old. If it makes you feel better it was my last year in middle school when they came out I love listening to old stuff from that era. It deffinetly makes me happy. After you mentioned it, I actually had my husband download some of their stuff for me last night |
