The only thing I know about the Edmund Fitzgerald is that the one guy wrote a song about it. (Gordon Lightfoot, maybe?)

Imho she got caught in a storm got hit by big waves and sank either before or after she broke her back.

She is not the 1st unfortunate to be caught that way on the great lakes and and I fear she wont be the last.

If I had an option I would have selected the one that said engines failed and she was overwhelmed but I didnt see that option.
