| | Fish Keeper | Cardinals most definatly. They have more color, are hardier if you acclimate them well and, they won't drop like flies out of nowhere. |

| | ID master | Now, what kind of neon tetras are we talking about? Regular neons, gold neons, green neons, what kind of neons? Cause according to my fish supplier, the green neons are a lot better and a lot hardier then the regular neons, and the gold neons are also a lot more colorful then the regular ones. So it really depends on which neons we are talking about for my vote :P

| | Fish Helper | I had no idea there were so many varieties! I only knew of blue/red and black neons. I am referring to the red/blue classic neons in this case. |

I have a school of cardinals and I had a school of neons at one point, and when in a school, they both look stunning, and in a school together, they are amazing looking.

(And NTD is quite rare here abouts) |

| | Fish Lore Newbie | Cardinals are surprisingly hardier. I lost few zebra danios, a glofish & blackskirt tetra & not one Cardinal even had a problem... |
