i had a goldfish. i won him at the fireman's carnival when i was like 8. i kept him for almost 4 years. he was a mean old curmudgeon. he killed anything i put in the tank with him...other goldfish, neons, snails....even tiger barbs. my parents made me get rid of him when we got a dog. RIP Mr. Fishy

I had 2 neon tetras, Mike & Ike. I kept them in a goldfish bowl. No filter, No heater. They died when I went on vacation and left the blinds open. The bowl got way too hot and they died!

I've learned SO MUCH since then.

Well, I got my first fish when I was around five and my mom bought two at a time. One was a gold fish (actually, it was one from the feeder fish tank, since I always felt bad for them and they were cheap) and one of those mudsucker things. Their names were Bonnie and Clyde.

a feel so stupid mine was indeed a goldfish but my dumb instinks clicked danio because that wat i consider my take offf in this hobby...
otherwise the first fish that had filteration, heater, ect.
