Me and my friend have our own fishtanks (many of my friends have fishtanks =]) and i have a freshwater one, whereas she has a saltwater one...so my question is, whats better...

Neither is better. They are different.
I prefer freshwater mostly because I cannot afford saltwater.

That's generally a personal choice. Everyone likes different things.I like them both,and have both types.

Salt water is usually more expensive,and the species are a little more sensitive. Not to mention 90% of salt water species are venomous to 1 degree or another. (the ones I like anyway).

SO,whatever you like is what's better.

I like freshwater better because saltwater is just to complicated for my small mind I know its pretty much a matter of opinion, but i was wondering wich type most people have/prefer

Saltwater is pretty but I don't know if I'd be brave enough to try it. Heavy brakish may be the furthest I go.

I Love Saltwater But I Also Really Like Bettas And Freshwater Tanks So That Is A Hard Choice.

Has to be SW as i just love all the corals and inverts , i just love the hermit crabs they are so funny to watch and makes all the hard work and learning worth it

I like them all... actually brackish might be my favorite, just cause the puffers I keep are brackish, lol.
