Dropping things in tank or sump

Ok I just dropped my mobile phone in the sump.. it was in my top pocket.. went to take a water sample.. splash..
So have you tryed to let your fish call their friends?

PS, a ponk is a pond.. or the sound my phone made

Can't say that I have dropped anything into the tank electronic. The tank is sitting on top of 2 4 drawer file cabinets though so if I were anything to fall into the tank it would be more of a "Toss" then a "drop"

I don't think I've dropped anything unusual into my tank...

Did the same thing... except there were fish in the tank and the light was on, luckily no disasters and we're all here to laugh at it.

I haven't dropped a phone but I have dropped keys (checking on the fish before leaving), pencils & pens (usually, I have them tucked behind my ears & they slide out when I'm testing the water) and my glasses LOL

A couple weeks ago my dad flew his remote controll helicopter into my tank while he was visiting. needless to say it did major damage to the chopper.
