What type of music do you listen to?
Ill set up a poll later until I gather enough genres for now help me out with posting a few genres(if its no problem) and the one you choose.
There is most likely another thread about this but just wondering.
I cant put in all music types so general stuff. You can get all specific in your post. Its okay if you post bands that you like too.
Put combinations
Metal + Punk = Thrash
Metal + Classical + Some Other stuff = Power Metal
Metal + Rap = A combonation of Metal and Rap
Come up with your own this took me a lot of time.

Heheh... I listen to a bunch of stuff that no one has probably even heard of (not just artists, entire genres that people will be scratching their heads over, lol)... and I am going to "label" myself here... almost always industrial, but also: terror, EBM, elektro, darkwave/grindcore, some rock, a tonne of punk and ska, an ennsey bit of thrash, almost any classic classical and quite a bit of contemporary classical, futurepop, electropunk, a hint of rap/hip-hop, a smidge of grunge, metal as long as it's industrial metal. Also am a closet J-Rock fan. (Yep, I'm a complete audiophile!)

Well i'll give the usual answer...all kinds. You should see my ipod. You couldn't pin one genre on me. In the car if i have the radio on its strictly Country, probably one of the top genres i listen to. If its the ipod then its anything from Country, to rap, to classic rock, to reggae, to dance/trance club type.
The only stuff i won't listen to is Emo/Screamo and like heavy death metal.

Classic Rock (Led Zeppelin, The Who, The Doors), Blues (Howlin' Wolf, Muddy Waters), and of course, people who played in both such as Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, etc.

Everything from the very classical to some rap and hard rock. I mostly stick to light rock and easy listening, but it just depends on the mood. When I am really annoyed/angry I go for fast beat songs that play into that mood, and the opposite is true for when the mellow feelings are there.
Some of my favorites are:
Melissa Ethridge
Tracy Chapman
Nickelcreek
U2
Uncle Kracker
Josh Groban
Weird Al
Queen
Hinder
Allison Kraus
Kid Rock
Tim Mcgraw's song with Nelli, I think it was? (That's a good one)
I like a few of Dolly Parton's songs.
Cathy Ryan (Irish folk artist)
Cathy Mattea
... well the list could keep going for hours, so I will call this a very abbreviated list and stop there.

I listen to a wide range of music. I enjoy the 70s and 80s as much as I enjoy the music today. Im a pretty big fan of rap but lately ive been into Seether and AlterBridge.. I like the ICP.. but I also enjoy a good garth brooks tune..

ska, punk...skunk? haha. sometimes swing and dixie, the 'classic' emo (screamo drives me nuts, it's like drowning cats!), and even a little electronic music like the postal service.

Everything. And I mean it. My friends listen to a very eclectic bunch of genres which I pick up on. So one day you might hear Chris Thile and his mandolin the next KMFDM. I make room for popular music so I dont get too old or become that music snob. I sold CD's at a certain blue and yellow retailer thru college so it fed my habit.
Note: Two exceptions. I can't take party rap or noise-music, they are both brainless.

I use to listen to music a lot when I was younger. I can't remember the last time I even liked a song. I usually choose rock, alternative or punk over everything else. Most music gets on my nerves. Gangsta rap has got to go.

Yes...

What, that wasn't a yes or no question? I thought it was.
My iTunes account (before I lost all my songs) had every genre of music in it. I listen to them all. Two of the least listened to are country and blues.
Metal figures in heavy on my list, as does goth (I'm old enough that "goth" covers most of the oddities in Devon's list ), rave (mostly happy hardcore, with a little trance, and I'm old enough that "rave" covers a few more oddities from Devon's list), techno/electronica (and, yes, I'm old enough that this covers most of the rest from Devon's list ;p), pop-ska (I was more into early No Doubt and Reel Big Fish than the hardcore ska bands), rap (old-school and intelligent. Most of today's rappers are lazy ), industrial, and, because they deserve their own genre: Dragonforce.

Some of this music makes me a little mental in the face.
Metal(almost all kinds not death and black)
Classic Rock
Classical(such as Beethoven)
The old rap when the freaks came out at night(still do) and when there was rap machines and rage against the machine.
(I wanted to bring out extreme metal wich is kind of hard to understand but then you read the lyrics but Power Metal would have to be my the only one I listen to and it falls under metal)
Thats one wierd looking list.

Maybe its just me but i liked Wayne's older stuff personally. And i'd rather have him as a featured artist on a song rather then the main artist on the song.

Whiskey Lullabye is one of my most listened to songs on my mp3 player. (It is so nice to get lost in the mp3 player while spending that hour or more on the treadmill. )
