| | Fish Helper | My first fish were fancy guppies (I was 7 years old). My uncle gave me a 10 gallon tank with everything & I have had fish ever since (I'm 37 years old now)! And I still have A LOT to learn... |

| | Fish Keeper | I had 2 goldies in a bowl with nothing except water, gravel and an airstone when I was in the 1st grade. at least my parents used water conditioner when they changed the water. and every time a fish died they would preoccupy me at my grandmother's house next door, then they would run out to the fish store and get another goldfish. I never noticed! I recall their names were hocas and pocas. they were feeder goldies. I loved them dearly. then one day they moved the bowl and left it on the radiator, and boiled my fish poor fishies |

| | Fish Keeper | I had a minnow fish i never identified and a 3-line corydoras catfish in a 10 gallons tank complete with an aquaclear mini filter, a rena heater, and two old noisy air pumps 7 years ago. i remember one of them would go out every now and again. My dad would get so ticked about it and he HAD to fix it, my family thinks he might have OCD lol)
... If we look on my aquarium life in the Now time 13 going on 14, you would notice a 2.5 gallon betta tank home to Mango, a 20 gallon livebearer tank with some colorful fish of the genus Xiphophorus, and a 30 gallon tall aquarium that is underconstruction. | | Fish Lore Newbie | Hi to all, My first post in this forum. I have reveiwed the Fish Lore and am very impressed with it's layout. I think this forum is very good for learning and sharing experiences in the fish keeping hobby. I have been addicted to this hobby now for approximately 4 months and am still learning. I currently have two 55 gal tanks. 1 contains my african cichlid community and the other is a variety of tropicals. Once I return back home from this business trip, I will complete my information with pictures of each of my setups and some of the occupants.
I currently reside in Port St. Lucie, Florida and am now looking for a 125 gallon tank to move my cichlids into and break up the tropical community into the two 55 gallon tanks.
If there is anyone out there in my area that has a 125 they want to part with, don't hesitate to let me know.
Looking forward to communicating with everyone here on a regular basis. |

i see you're looking for a new tank. You could post that question in the category "Buy Sell Trade" on the forum to guarantee some offers. |

| | Fish Keeper | My first fish ever, at age 7, was a common guppy (Fancy guppies were very rare back then).
After a long pause (20 years) I returned to fishkeeping with a female Betta.

| | Fish Bum | Wow I feel bad now that I think about it =\
I had two goldfish I won at the school's Halloween fair in elementary school. So I was about 6 years old, and my parents did not know how to take care of them properly. Their names were Sarah and Goldy, I loved them, but sadly, they lived in a bowl. T_T With no decorations for hiding spots. No filter. No heater. They ate flake food and nothing else But my dad knew to change their water a lot. |

| | Fish Keeper | My very first fish was 2 figure 8 puffers. I was 10 at the time. Did not know they were brackish fish and they lived with my dads fish. Sadly they died in a month. Now that I know more about them I am getting them again. |

| | Fish Master | technically my first fish was probably a goldfish. however, i REALLY consider my first fish to be billy, my first male betta, that got the whole cycle started (no pun intended). i now have 6 tanks! |
