Submersible Heaters

Which submersible heater do you prefer for your aquariums?

Right now, I have two of the Elite mini submersible heaters by Hagen and although they both work great, I have considered getting different ones for my tanks because the heaters I'm using now don't have the temperature settings on the dial so setting them to the right temperature can be a bit tricky. I would be keeping the heaters I have now as back-ups.

Out of the heaters on the list(or ones that I didn't add!), which one(s) would you recommend to me?

I use the ViaAqua stainless steel submersible heaters. What I especially like is that the temp controller is on the outside of the tank.

I like the VisiTherm Stealths, the Jagers and the Hydor Theos, but I think the Stealths are my favorite of the 3.

The Stealth seems to be a favorite amongst a lot of people. I do like those heaters that have the temperature dial on the outside of the tank though.

LOL..I think we have one of each kind here. Never heard of Theo Hydor tho.
I use The elite mini, 25 watts for the betta tanks. They all seem to work equally well.

Here is the Theo Hydor. Some say it's a great heater.

The elite minis work well but I'd like to try one that has the temperatures right on the dial. I'll be going to Big Al's today so I'll price all of them.

Use Stealth's in all 3 tanks, temp adjust is a bit hard but they keep a stable temp reliably.

I heard that too but as long as the heater keeps the water temperature stable, the dial is something that could easily be overlooked. I had priced these heaters at Big Al's and a 50 watt was $27.99. My other two heaters weren't that much so it would probably be best to buy them online.

That's good to know. I thought the Theo's would be a "set and forget" type.
