Does Anyone else...?

Think that plecos of any flavor are anything but cute?? I just don't understand the appeal of those guys. Big, Small, BN, Common, etc. the only thing that comes to my mind is "yehhhea (ok so he's a lot more drastic than i feel abut them, but i couldn't find a tongue sticky out smily) =)

I seem to be alone, but I refuse to believe it =)) All the posts I read are all I love my pleco

So everyone thoughts??

I don't think they're cute. I think they're neat looking, but not cute. Too alien to be cute (and not the Pu-Chu type of alien, but the burst from your chest, xenomorph alien).

I voted what's a pleco. I really have no idea.

Then again I'm on my first tank and went straight to SW.

Common sucker-mouth algae-eating fish. They're the big monsters often seen clinging to the walls of the tank.

Stacy finds our albino LFBNs cute and I think many of the pleco species are really beautiful fish.

I feel in love with them the moment I got my first common Stewie. It's in their eyes. They have kindness in their eyes. My Blue Panaque use to follow me around when he was in our big tanks. Baby plecos make me go *squeaky*. They are so darn cute.

I agree about the eyes. I didn't really "get" plecos, until I got one as a cleaner. My little clown pleco "Morley" is so full of himself, very active. He is all over the place, out all day, chases anything in his way - soooo full of personailty. Another one of those "Who knew"?

A really good case of ; Looks aren't everything!!

I just got my first BN Pleco's yesterday. I have to say they are pretty dang ugly creatures lol... BUT if they do the work Ive been told they do, they can stay and be happy in my tank! I agree with Sabi, they are very prehistoric looking fish... and there is that appeal to them.

If you ask me, Algy has a more wicked look in his eyes!

Ok, glad to find I'm not the only one out there. Sorry Dave, those pics do not bring to mind cute. I will concede the prehistoric look. For now though they will remain living in pet shops and other peoples' homes, for to me they belong in the category of things that look like they will jump out of the tank and eat me, much like shrimp. hehe
