FireFox 3 is going to be so cool. Have you tried CoolIris or PicLens? |

| I use FF for everything except Fish Lore. It doesn't display any of Fish Lore's graphics (including avatars, photos, buttons) so for now I'm stuck with using IE. Ugh. This started happening about two weeks ago and I had always used FF to access Fish Lore before with no problem. I hadn't changed any settings or added any plugins. It's Version 2.0.0.13.
I've installed FF3 Beta 4, and surprisingly, still have the same problem!
I went into Options --> Content --> Load images automatically --> Exceptions and typed in fishlore.com as an exception to allow.
Any ideas on solving this?
BTW, FF3 really seems terrific!!! It's noticeably faster than FF2 and blazingly fast compared to IE. |

| I'm not sure what's wrong. I'm using the same versions and everything loads alright. Is "load images automatically" checked? |

| Good question. I meant to mention that "load images automatically" is checked. I also should mention that I wrote to Mike when this first started happening. He didn't know what's wrong, and he hadn't received any similar reports. Last edited by pamd; March 28th, 2008 at 06:29 PM.

| You could have a corrupted file or registry entry somewhere. Maybe if you uninstall it, then reinstall a clean copy? Or first, remove the entry for fishlore from that list. |

| I wound up completely, and I mean completely, uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox. This included removing the FF app plus every single other Mozilla/Firefox file on my computer, other than the saved (hidden away temporarily from FF) bookmarks. Nothing short of this rather drastic step worked. It took some doing.
I'm a much happier camper now! Firefox, including FF Version 2 and Version 3 Beta 4, now play well with Fish Lore!
Unfortunately, I never figured out exactly what was wrong, but it probably doesn't matter. It seems 99.9% certain that it was a corrupted file on my end, since Mike didn't get reports of similar problems. It's strange that the problem only happened at Fish Lore and I get curious about things like that. Oh well. It's fixed. No more IE every few waking hours to check on my favorite Web site! |

| Yea, it probably had something to do with that one setting. |

I see that wasn't clear in my post. I guess we'll never figure out what was wrong. |

| I never tried Firefox so I guess I shouldn't be voting. Sorry but I prefer Internet Explorer over Safari which I have tried. |

| Those of you who prefer Internet Explorer, what's the draw? I always found it an okay browser, except for how horribly vulnerable it was to malware. Basically, I like Firefox simply because it's a well-defended browser that doesn't have any bugs that get in my way. But then again, I'm an old-school surfer, and don't use a lot in the way of plugins. |
