Which fish?

I'm actually posting this for a friend . . . *he's on dialup at home and happens to be here so here we go"

Which kind of fish should he get for his giant tank idea?

I agree, how giant? I voted for the barracuda. I assume we are talking about a very large single species tank. All of those need a very big tank. 55 gallons is small. It should be at least 75 IMHO.

I was thinking a minimum of 90g for the barracuda since they get to about 10" in tanks and you'd want a little run at least, but probably 400g+ if it's a 'giant' tank.

I was thinking 100 but went with 75. lol As long as it was a 75 long I think you could get away with it. Depends on the number of fish too. 400 would definitely fit in the giant category.

I guess 400g was in my head since I saw a tank full of baby red pacu at walmart today.

Don't bother with piranha...they aren't that exciting. Most species just sit and are scared of people all the time. Too nervous for me. We've kept a lot of piranha species....I don't recommend them if you are looking for movement.
