he he he. Callum's getting to be the forum's greatest poll creator! Polls are great, arent' they? OK, here's my answers on this one:

Band or Artist: Paul Simon or Radiohead. Oh, and I love some Cure songs. Just impossible to decide.

Genre of music: I guess singer/song-writer stuff. And for some reason, I love it when a man's voice goes high effortlessly (i.e. stays even and strong, while hitting the high notes). Hence my Thom York admiration (Radiohead)!

Song: The only living boy in New York? (P. Simon) You're just too good to be true? (whoever sung the original? Mammas & Pappas version really nice). Dream a little dream? (whoever sung the original? Mammas & Pappas version also really nice). Creep (Radiohead) is fantastic but I've listend to it too much. Oh, sooo much choice...

hey callum!!! i like iron maiden too (it's English heavy metal band IRON MAIDEN, right), they r my all time favorite!!!! i like their singles like Fear of the dark, the nomad, hallowed be thy name, afraid to shoot strangers, blood brothers etc.

My favorite songs r November rain (GNR), Bed of roses(Bon Jovi), Summer of 69(Bryan Adams), Everything i do(Bryan Adams).....Favorite album is Master of Puppets by Metallica.

Semantic Drift

Alright, this is silly, but I'll give it a shot.

Artist - I'd have to say John Coltrane. "My Favorite Things" was the first album I ever bought, and I listened to it every night before I went to bed during elementary school. I can sing along to every solo on the album.

Genre - I really like hard bop (Horace Silver, Art Blakey, all those guys) and bebop, but I listen to a lot of rock too. Radiohead, Floyd, Soul Coughing, classic rock like The Who, Beatles, Stones, et cetera. I listen to pretty much any music that is original, creative, and has some sense of artistry to it. I can dig on some indie, too. Decemberists, Shins, Mogwai, that stuff.

Song - Gotta be "So What" by Miles Davis. On Kind of Blue, which may be the greatest album ever.

Scientifically speaking (that is, according to my iTunes, the most-listened song), my favorite song is "16 Military Wives" by the Decemberists, with 37 plays. Followed by "C.T.A." by Curtis Fuller, "Desert" by Emilie Simon, "Weird Divide" by the Shins, and "The Preacher" by Horace Silver.

Album - Kind of Blue, My Favorite Things, El Oso (by Soul Coughing), or Song for my Father by Horace Silver. Or Doolittle by the Pixies. Or Sgt. Pepper's. Crap, I can't decide. So much good music out there, and I can't even narrow it down to five.

Oh gosh a music poll! I could go on forever...but rest assured I won't.

Band/Artist: moe. , Neil Young, Pink Floyd, Anna Nalick (hard to pick a fav. I could go on and on with ties)
Genre: a little of everything. I like jam bands and alternative the best I guess.
Song is impossible to limit but in the running are: almost any moe. song. After the Gold Rush (Neil Young), Wish you Where Here(Pink Floyd) and Catalyst (Anna Nalick)
As far as album goes I must have listened to Violent Femmes "Why do birds Sing album a million and twelve times. I bet I could still sing it from beginning to end and I haven't listened ti it in years, so I would have to say that is my all time fav album.
