I'm just courious how many people breed fish, and if they do to what degree.

About half of our tanks are devoted to breeding fish, 60 tanks or so.
Just under half is devoted to growing out the fry from the breeding, 60 tanks or so.
The rest of our 165 tanks are either for non bred in captivity fish ( clown loaches) or fish that are still too young to breed, long finned albino bristlenoses.

Right now I have Rams and Angels breeding. Have 10 tanks at the moment, two are bare bottom grow out tanks.

Umm... I tend to think of what I do as dabbling, though some might disagree lol. The splendens are a bit more serious (though I still wouldn't say hard core!) and the other species are just for fun! Right now all I have is my splendens, betta channoides, and a small colony of Lamprologus ocellatus that mostly didn't make the move (lost all but 2 during and just after the trip ) but now are quickly way overpopulating their tank.

Aphyosemion Bivitatum "Lagos" killifish, Rivulus cylindraceous killifish, C. metae, albino BN, black neon tetras, coolie loach, german blue rams, pink convict cichlids, emperor tetras and cardinal tetras are all the ones I'm trying to breed, but the only ones I've bred are german blue rams, coolie loaches, and C. metae. The only ones I've got the fry from are the coolie loaches.

Endlers, Gouramis, mostly snails though. Columbians, Apples, Trapdoors, small Ramshorns, MTS, looking forward to my shipment of nerites and giant canas! (I know there not fish, but hay they deserve some credit to.)

I breed swordtails, mollies, and dwarf platies. I got swordtail babies when I moved swordtails over to my nursery tank, and one of the females dropped over 20 fry. The mollies that I want to try and breed are gold to dalmations. I've also got a blue swordtail male who I want to breed to my red females. Just waiting on the new tank to beautify the ick room (it looks alwful) to make sure that he is the father

We breed Lake Malawi African cichlids, pretty much any cichlid we are trying to get a hand in breeding. We are opening our own cichlid "breedery" in a few years. Not the kind of store you can just walk into right off the street.
We are going to try breeding angelfish (if they ever cooperate). We've bred Kribs, convicts(duh), diamond tetra (fluke), bristle nose plecos & numerous Malawi cichlids.

Before I knew to separate my hooligans I had two batches of Pseudotropheus "demaselongatus," but Henry and Eleanor ate 'em!

Probably for the best. They could have been the killer bees of the cichlid hybrid world!!

probably. I just have to worry about livebearer crosses since I have all of the standard ones that petstores sell (platy, mollie, guppy, and swordtail)

I went on vacation a few years back and when I got home I found one of my molly's was pregnant. Unfortunately I never dealt with it before and lost all but one of the fry.
