With Christmas coming up and with all the frenzy of the Christmas shopping, I am wondering where all of you like to shop. Not just for Christmas, but shopping in general. I mainly have in mind shopping for things like clothes, shoes, various accesories (such as handbags, jewelry, etc ...), electronics, et cetera ... Do you have one favorite store or do you like many of them? Above is a short list of stores. If a store you like it not on the list, simply mention it in your post. (I can't include more than 10 options in the poll, or can I?)

You can vote on more than one option. Like I said, there are a lot of stores I didn't include. Is there any way to increase the number of options?

We like to shop where the sale are We have a large mall in our area which has a bunch of stores, I go there if I have to. Walmart is good for some things

I'm not allowed to go shopping anymore. I "embarrass" SWMBO because I have no tolerance for rude people and tell them about it.

I go to most of the stores I listed in the poll, but I do have my favorites (I love Guess and Express.). I also like to shop during sales. You know when's the best time to shop? Right after major holidays are over - then, everything that wasn't sold during the holiday season, is on sale. The stores I also like but haven't listed are Papaya and H&M (though I like only some clothes at H&M because they often have clothes with fabrics I don't like). Papaya is very cheap and you can get there a lot of nice casual stuff at a cheap price. Guess and Express aren't cheap but you can get real good quality clothes, especially at Express. I am required to dress formally to work (i.e. absolutely no jeans and the like), and since I don't really like formal wear (not very comfortable ), when I shop for formal clothing, it HAS TO BE comfortable. I find that Express has very comfortable and well cut formal clothes, that's why I like this store. United Colors of Benneton also has great comfortable formal clothing. I wish I could wear my plain old jeans to work! The minute I come home from work, I jump out of my "formal" clothes, and put on my favorite old jeans and t-shirt Speaking of jeans, to me GAP makes the most comfortable ones - I love their long and lean stretch jeans! I always have 2 pairs at hand (dark and light colored), and when they wear out, I buy the exact same ones again, lol.

P.S. All of the above stores are big, mostly publicly traded corporations. Not all of them are very friendly to the environment and to the society. While I do shop there, I also do support small independent businesses, especially family businesses. I shop at small independent stores as well. We need to support small businesses because they're being systematically wiped out by the powerful corporations.

EDIT: OK, I put several stores into a single option. This way, I can include more stores. If there is only one store you like in a particular option, you can indicate so in your post.

I love looking at the toys at stores like Best Buy and the fish at the pet stores.

Yep, I'm a nerd through and through. I do enjoy a good tour of Best Buy. I also like shopping game stores. Not the video game stores, though I shop there often too. I play really nerdy collectible games (ie Magic). These days though my favorite place to shop is the ol' pet store. Theres an LFS in a nearby city that always has a nice selection of Salt water stuff. I like to go there and make wish lists in my head.

Macy's and Old Navy for clothes. Walmart for medication and odds n ends. Ebay everything else.

Aeropostale, American Eagle, Abercrombie, Hollister, etc. are my favorites. Heh, but I don't like GAP much.

And Walmart for basically... other stuff. Like groceries. But that's my mom's job.

I don't like everything at GAP either. Sometimes they have cool stuff though. It's usually jeans that I get from GAP (to me, they have the most comfortable jeans).
