i'm from Bangladesh, my favorite fish is 'Hilsa'; we call it 'Rupali Elish'; it's the most famous fish in our country, we also export it to foreign countries. it's delicious .

it feels so wrong discussing eating fish on this forum!! - dont tell my fish that i eat fish!! i love haddock. i've never heard of most of those on the list! maybe they're not readily available in the uk? i like tuna, and cod and salmon too. salmon is better with salad though. haddock is best battered with chips and scraps and curry sauce. yum yum!! cod with parsley sauce! mmmm, i'm rather hungry now!!

I remember reading somewhere that natives of the Amazon would catch big wild Oscars and fry them up. I remember watching mine thinking if he was in the wild and someone tried to catch him on a hook he'd put up one **** of a fight!

I eat salmon too, dunno about haddock though, but then i'm not good at knowing the names of fish i eat!
As for not knowing the fish on the list, well i just took whatever came to mind. Dont you guys get hake? Maybe you'l know it with a different name.It tastes best in batter!
