Any plecos suitable for a 35g?

I really like plecos... are there any that would be good in a tank that size? I was thinking about rubberlips, those are really cool... what do you think?

BN or a clown pleco would work. I think rubberlips get a bit larger than the ones I mentioned.

i havent seen any BN's here... i saw one a while back, but have never ran into them again. I did see the rubberlip... those are cute LOL i really want a pleco, they add personality ya know? I think i might take a trip to my LFS and check to see what they have. I wont come home with anything i havent researched though...

Plecos add a significant bioload to your tank, so keep that in mind. I think a clown pleco would be best for a 20, as it tops out at only 4 inches.

An L-129 would be good if you can find one, they don't need wood in their diet. They don't grow over 4", more like 3.5".

i think your pretty much ok with ANY pleco as long as its not a 'common' pleco. to my knowledge those are the only monster sized pleco.

I think you'll be good with BN's or clowns. I like the coloring of the clowns better though!

Yes, $35 bucks. Not bad. Though customs let it through with live plants but I'm not sure about fish. Actually, I think U.S. customs care about what's going into USA rather than what's going out to USA but I can be totally wrong!

If i told you what they do to my mail.... They scan each envelope (they're like airport scanners) and whenever they see laptops or money or stuff like that they just take it and never deliver it. Ive also heard they burn all things that arent supposed to enter the country...

LOL they're you go! Ever since the terrorist attack...When I went to Puerto Vallarta, they didn't care about my 3.5 oz cologne in a big bag but when I went back and left it outside of a bag, they confiscated it or stole it. Anyways that stunk and will never bring any liquids if I'm traveling outside of the U.S.

Actually the vast majority of plecs get over 10" & wouldn't suit a tank of 35gallons. The most commonly available plecs would average out at 12" & then up from there. There's only a few under the 6" mark.

And don't forget Tony: Stay away from the Sailfin plecos. That's how I ended up hunting down a 75g aquarium.
