Male Albino Bristlenose Plec stuck?

Hello,
my male albino BN plec seems to be stuck in a hole in our bogwood. We've had him for a while and recently have added a female, she's much smaller than him but the other day they were both in that space together, is it likely that they have eggs and he is guarding them? I was really worried that he was stuck, and admit that I touched him to try to get him to dislodge, he wriggled further in, I'm worried because I hope I haven't caused him to get further stuck, but when I looked a while ago he was further out again. i feel really bad for touching him and I'm worried that he might be stuck, but have read that males look after the eggs... I'm just going to leave him alone, if he is stuck I won't be able to get him out anyway... Now I won't be able to sleep tonight!

He def could be guarding eggs. The male is the one that looks after them and they like to lay them in an area where they can barely fit, which sounds like your bog wood. That fact that he is able to move in and out of the hole makes me think he could be caring for the eggs. That would be awesome!!!. Baby BN are CUTE. I would keep a close eye on him and make sure he isn't stuck though. touching him probably didn't do any damage to him, just made him a little mad, since you said you saw him further out of the wood later.

Thanks

Thank you! That's made me feel a lot better, I hope they do have fry, that would be so cool. We have three panchax fry in there at the moment too, two of them are growing nicely but the third is distorted in shape and I don't think will survive, it will be nice to have BN fry;-)

if his head was out of the hole then i doubt he was stuck as thats the widest part of him. I have a male BN doing the same thing just make sure u put some food close to him so that he can eat

He's still in the hole and it's his head that in there, but he can move back, although I haven't seen his head. I've been putting catfish granules near him so he's okay for food. I wish he'd come out so I would feel more relaxed about it! Thanks for asking, I'll keep you posted of what happens next.....;-)
