Gremlin has some pics of plecos (not BN though) with dramatic color change. Plecos can be just like any fish. THey change color and behavior based on their mood. I would double check to make sure your perimeters are ok. Also check the temp of the tank. Has there been a change in diet by chance??.

Yep - my sailfin plecos change color. They go from sharply contrasting spots to almost solid black. The weirdest color change I've seen is my chinese algae eater. It went from normal gray/green to gray/green with yellow spots to solid yellow to yellow with gray/green spots and now back to solid yellow. If a fish has a tendency towards a different color (lighter or darker individuals in their family tree) then something like mango (which enhances yellow/orange coloring) can make it show up. It would be interesting to watch and see if the color change is permanent or if the yellow fades back to white. Then see if they change back to yellow if you feed mango again.

Hello Aldric. It sounds like a normal color change to me as well. It sure is beautiful!
