| what's in the box?? He he,
I was naughty the other day and did an impulse buy on some F0 L226 other wise known as Panaque changae or Iquitos Tiger Pleco.
Heres the biggest still in the bag in stressed colouration
One of the plecos managed to put a whole in the bag and when i pulled him from the box he had NO water left in the bag, I'm amazed he is still alive, needless to say he did not get acclimatized but put straight into the tank, he's still alive after 8 hours so I'm hoping he will be ok.

| The Plecos are beautiful! I hope they are doing well now. When you're posting pictures and have more than 5 to share, don't worry about back to back posts. One of the mods can always merge them for you.
Have fun and best of luck with the new additions.
Ken I've moved your thread to the catfish/Pleco section of the forum. Thanks! Ken Last edited by aquarist48; September 16th, 2009 at 03:57 AM.

| Thanks everyone,
I rang the shipper and he said he gets them from Peru all the time with no water in the bags, apparently as long as they stay damp they will survive for up to 3-4 days! I have no plans to try this, i will just take his word!
I do plan to breed them, they probably need to grow a little more first although some are full grown.
All of them are doing well this morning and are about to get their first meal here of zuchinni.
Will try and get more pics now they are less stressed.
Anna
Thanks Ken for moving this for me |

| More pictures
There is a bit of colour variance between them as you can see in these pictures!
Still they seemed to have settled in well, there is quite a bit of movement coming from the cave area, i often see a tail poking out or one chase another out of the cave! Im not expecting them to spawn just yet, but who knows?

| Lol Anna you don't have to apologize for posting your photos We love them! Your fish are so beautiful!
I saw in a thread a while back of someone's Pleco that had inched his way up the intake tube and was completely out of water, just sitting there happily. I'm with you and would never try to keep it out of water on purpose.
Thanks again for sharing your new additions!
