Found the first super red fry in the growout tank. Sadly, the cichlids will be picking them off before they have a chance to grow. Most of the larger super reds have now been moved into a breeding tank, but the father of the fry is still hiding in the plastic tree stump and won't be accessible for a while yet. I may end up moving it as well, but I'd really prefer to leave it where it is.
Here's a couple pics of what may be the first super red fry in the US. They look something like albino's, but they're not as pale and have color in their eyes:

Question: I know that with CAEs you run the risk of them getting aggressive and sucking the sides out of your fish. Are BNs the same?

No, BN pleco's are safe to keep with anything that won't bother them. Even shrimp and/or tiny fry are safe.

Can anyone point me to a place where I can find information on BNs? Things like tank size requirements, food requirements, substrate size, etc etc. I tried but filtering out the posts didn't work so well and most of what I find is on the common pleco. But these are just soooo cuuuuute.

Seeing these adorable babies makes me want one

That's what I was thinking Carol. Are they even considering albino if they don't have red eyes??.

Whatever they are they are VERY VERY pretty!!. Good luck with them.

Beautiful Toddnbecka. Not that I am surprised, you definitely have a way with the BNs. Keep us posted on them...I would love to add some to my tanks here when you have some babies available.
