My daughter has a clown pleco in "her" 20 gallon aquarium. We bought in on Friday. I know that they are nocturnal so we feed him at night after we turn out all of the lights, but are there any "hints" or "tricks" so be able to see him? She can't even watch him eat and even first thing in the morning, he's gone back to his "hideway". It would also help me to be able to keep an eye on his health without stressing him out by moving his hideaway to view him.

You could try using an LED moonlight on the tank. Other than that, you won't see much of him.

I have a clown in my 55 gal. I never see him unless I go see the tank in the middle of the night.
