I am really surprised and pleased at how fast they grow! To date I think I counted approximately 17 babies

Awww they're so cute. How did you talk them into breeding? You must be keeping them pretty happy!

well it was all by accident, when we 1st got them of course there was a huge tank and change (during transport as we got them as a package for buying a tank, it came with everything)

then a week or 2 after we got them, we decided to switch tanks and substrates so we did another major water change and I guess they spawned thinking it was rainy season or whatever

we discovered the eggs by surprise and now we have babies LOL

thanks for merging it, I will post more pix, I do have more now but will wait a bit LOL!

we never did take dad out of the tank, he has been hiding under the rocks and there are babies down there too with him so we thought we would just leave him be since he wont harm them anyways

the babies eat ALOT! LOL! have been giving them some liquid plankton which I squirt into the tank (turned off the filter for about an hour so it doesnt just get sucked in), seaweed sheets, zucchini, cucumbers. placed another rock in the tank which has algae although so far no takers yet

yeah thats too bad. when they get bigger we will try to sell some OR go to our LFS and maybe trade them in for fish or something since we seem to have a lot to spare.

we are also maybe thinking of trying to spawn them again LOL! we will see, this just might be beginner's luck or rather accidental luck
