I have noticed a couple of online retailers advertise dwarf plecos, indicating their maximum size is 3-4" in one case and 4-5" in another (for various species). Does anyone have any experience with the dwarf variety? If I can truly get a pleco whose max size will be 3-4", I believe it would be perfect for my 28g!

Hi what about a clown pleco they only grow to 5"

That is what I am shooting for...was just looking for some reassurance the 5" was accurate and I wasn't going to have an 18" fish in a year. I dropped off a list of the plecos that aren't supposed to reach more than 6" with my LFS yesterday and Friday they are supposed to let me know if they can find any.

Queen Arabesque get about 3.5 to 4 inches. These are about 3/4 inch right now Then Bristlenose get 5-6 inches.

I was just wondering if you had got your self a pleco, if so what did you buy .

I have a clown pleco and love it! I also have a snowball pleco, they are a smaller pleco but still can get 6-8 inches long.
