Bristle nose pleco changing color (gone lighter)

He used to be darker brown...now he's more almost beige colored..what's a matter with him?!?

Does he stay that color? Mine change back and forth depending on whats going on in the tank and what they are laying on.

well i changed the rocks from darkblue&red to almost a lime&lightblue color maybe that's it!
