Can I keep a common pleco in a 75 gallon?

Yeah I was wondering can I keep a common pleco in a 300 liter tank (75-80) gallon, like its not your usual 75 gallon its 40x18x24. I want the fish to be comfortable and grow to a decent size if its going to be cramped or uncomfortable in that tank size then I wont bother.

A common Pleco will grow to between 18-24 inches at maturity, even with atank of that size i would be more inclined to go for one of the smaller varieties like the Royal or Tiger plecos or a couple of the Ancistrus genus.

The Royal will grow to about 13-14 inches so only 1
The Tiger will grow to about 4 inches so 2 perhaps

When it comes to plecos there is not just size of the mature fish to consider but also the ammount of waste the fish produces.

75 gallons is acceptable for a pleco, depending on the species. if it is a sailfin, he will grow to 24 inches and be too long to turn around in the tank, there fore you will need a bigger tank.
