Found what my pleco is :)

jus need abit of comformation, im never very good at these. Does he look like the ones on that link?

He's colored up like my gibbiceps but my gibby has a huge dorsal fin and will get larger. I love those big guys

Unfortunately not, at least not to me

All the ones in your link have a coloration pattern of dark spots on a light body, while yours has a dark reticulated pattern. Close, but not exactly the same. If any of the pictures on the PlanetCatfish link were reticulated rather than spotted, I'd say you might be on to something... but they were all spotted, unless I missed one.

was hoping he wasnt a 10+ inch one so i could get another pleco but it looks like all the Pterygoplichthys plecos are.

Oh well, il have to stick with Chad

Yes they are amazing Mine hangs on the bottom of an arched log and chews to his hearts content. It's really hard to seehim but there's always a little pile on the sand under him that gives him away
