Will my Pleco heal????

I have quite a few African Cichilds in a 75 gal with my 2 plecos, the smaller one looks fine but the bigger one looks like they cichilds have been picking at his fins (I was told when I got them that they would be fine with him cause he is MUCH bigger than them) If I get rid of the cichilds will his fins heal

If you have aqua plus try putting that in.

If you have some aquarium salt, put about one to two tsp of aquarium salt. Don't put it in every day, just once is enough, because you don't want to cause salt poisoning, because I have it right now, but my fishes are alright still I'm hoping to try and get it to be healed.

I wouldn't use aquarium salt personally. Plecos and other catfish are ultra sensitive to salt in their water.

Agreed. From a earlier thread here on the topic:

The fish will start scratching and rubbing on objects when the salt level gets too high.

In my experience, hypostamus species handle it better than other genera, but none of them need it or do better with it added.

I have gone away from aquarium salt myself after using it initially. At best, it doesn't seem to make a real difference in most fish. I would recommend adding some stress coat to make sure the slime coat is good. Then just make sure he isn't being picked on any longer. Everything should heal up fine. My wife brought a cory home in terrible condition, and after a few weeks he is looking good. Usually fish will heal just fine if it is just the fins. Sometimes they get tissue damage at the base and that is when they sometimes cannot recover.
