I apologize in advance for all the questions, but for anyone to help you figure out what's happening, we need information.

Have you tested your water for ammonia/nitrites/nitrates? If so, how did you test and what were the readings? If not, getting a good liquid test kit and doing so would be a reasonable first step.

When the 11 neons died, did they exhibit the same symptoms as the pleco, or something else? Have there been any symptoms besides lethargy and bloating? Do any of the other fish in the tank show any signs of illness?

You said you treated the water... what did you treat for, and what did you use to treat?

When was the last time you added a new fish or plant to the tank?

hi
i added fish about 2 days ago (neons) and all the other fish seem fine now.
i treated the water with an alround medication. i have not got a ammonia/nitrate/nitrite test kit yet, i will be getting it on the weekend with alot more new stuff. i am changing to sand as my substrate on friday so all the water will be going and new tested water in.
the noens died i think of neon tetra disease and the pleco hab a substancial gouge in its side (only found out when i examined the body) it was quit a young one and was about 2'
there is still another pleco in the tank.
thanks for your help
