I have albino bristlenose fry and they are about 1 month old now, one thing that I have learned is they need perfect water conditions, so keeping your waterchanges up is a must. Ammonia, nitrites need to stay -0-, nirates bellow -20- I keep mine at -10-, I have also took my fry out and put them in a species only tank so they have no other fish to pick at them. I make sure they have a back wall that grows algae, and I clean the sides and front, then I use a gravel vac once a week.
I feed them zucchini slices every other day on a veggie clip. and I keep my temp at about 78 degrees.
My little guys have been growing wonderfully.
Not to mention, I am getting ready to grab another batch of fry out of my big tank once again...
I have been raising different species of fish fry for 6 years though I don't know if that has anything to do with my luck?
Are you keeping them w/ the parents?
The other thing I have to ask is a genetics question, where did you buy your plecos? Sometimes
LFS fish are poorly bred, and do not make good specimens to breed. However buying them from a breeder, etc you get a better quality fish.
