Which Pleco to get?

We recently got some zebra danios for my sons 29 gal tank. I'm letting everyone settle in and letting the tank get used to the fish that are in it before adding anymore. Other than the bristlenose pleco, can anyone point me in the right direction for some smaller pleco's that won't (hopefully) outgrow the tank. Also, since pleco's are pretty mellow, will they do ok with the faster swimming fish that are in there?

Clown pleco, Blue panaque....3.5-4" at the most I have one of each...going strong for 2 yrs now.
Here's a list of similar sized plecos and catfish.

Plecos should be fine with more active fish. They kind of ignore the surrounding world, especially during the day. As long as they aren't being actively bothered, they'll be fine.
If they are picked on, they are capable of either swimming away (they're deceptively fast) or chasing their attackers.

Most bottom dwelling fish(plecos included) are more comfortable with something swimming on the surface. They are called dither fish, if the dither fish are happy the rest of the tank is happy. Danios make excellent dither fish.

If you are just looking for a small algae eater, then you could also consider ottos. My wife picked up a few and put them in my tank. They work hard on the glass.

I have to put my vote in for Clown Plecos. I have one & it is a great asset to my tank. Very elusive though.

I recently received 6 L129's (aka Colombian zebra pleco's), and was quite pleasantly surprised at how effectively they cleaned the algae off the glass. I have a 38 that was covered, front, back, and sides, with only a few small clear patches where the 3 juvie BN's had cleaned off. Granted, the 6 L129's are much larger than the 1" BN's, but they had the tank almost spotless after 2 days. They aren't strict veggie eaters like the BN's, so they won't develop digestive problems from eating flakes or other higher-protein foods.
I have at least 4 males in the group, would be willing to part with one or two.
