| You're welcome.. it's a cave for them, aeration for the tank and the only place I can put a wafer for them so that our Angel Wilma doesn't steal it. |

| Oh my gosh, I am so sad and angry I can't stand it.
Since I hadn't heard back from the seller, I called DHL and they looked up my package. The lady said that there was a handling problem, so the fish will not arrive until Monday!!!!! That will make it 4 days that the plecos will have been in transit. I highly doubt they will make it to me alive. Poor little guys. I feel so bad for them stuck in that little box. They are so helpless, and don't deserve this fate.
I am so angry that the communication has not been better. The problem is, the seller has a policy that shipping is non-refundable (it cost $80). However, I don't think I should have to pay for the shipping if DHL is the one that screwed up. I hope I can get them to re-imburse me. The other problem is, if the Plecos are dead when they arrive, in order to get my money back, I have to ship them back within 2 days, meaning I would have to spend another $50-80 in shipping to send them back. If I want the plecos replaced, it will cost ANOTHER $80 to ship them back to me!!! That just doesn't seem right. Hopefully, the seller will just refund me and not make me jump through all these hoops, but I don't know. I don't think I will be ordering any more fish online after this. |

| I hope they get here safely too. All I can do is hope. I couldn't believe how expensive the shipping was, but I got a REALLY good deal on the plecos, so it was worth it to pay the shipping rather than drive around to all the LFS in the area trying to find the plecos I wanted. I should re-phrase that....the shipping was worth it BEFORE DHL screwed it up!!!! Grrrr. |

| That is HORRIBLE! Hopefully they are little fighters and can make it through. Let us know how it turns out. |

| Does DHL have a delivery guarantee that might help reimburse some of your shipping ?
Hopefully they'll make it but I would quarantine them for sure just in case the stress has caused any stress related diseases.

| I just checked the Terms and Conditions of shipping on DHL's website. They say that they are not liable for any loss or damages that are caused by delay in shipping. I doubt I will be able to get any money back from them. Honestly, I am not worried about replacing them at this point, since it would cost so much to send back the dead fish and get them shipped back out again. At this point, I am just hoping that at least one of them makes it alive. Poor little babies |

| Thanks for thinking of me today guys They came today while I was at work. I was so nervous of what I would find when I opened the box.
Guess What?
They all made it alive!!!!!
I could not believe that they survived 5 days in transit. That might be a record. I will try to post pics of them tomorrow. The seller was really nice as well and emailed me this morning and said if they didn't arrive alive, that she would ship me more today. Luckily I didn't have to take her up on her offer
The funny thing is, today, my husband went to a LFS an hour from our house while I was at work to see if he could get me some replacement plecos. He felt bad that this was my anniversary gift, and that they were not going to be alive when they came today. He decided to suprise me and bring me home 3 plecos as a replacement to the 5 that I ordered. Now I have 8 plecos........ I think I may have to move a few of them into different tanks as they start to grow. Oh well I would take them back, but the drive to the LFS is to far. I now have an Orange Spot Pleco, a Big Spot Pleco, and a Clown Pleco in addition to the plecos that I ordered |

Carol | Thanks Three of the bags had no poop in them whatsoever, which makes me think that the seller didn't feed them for a few days before they were shipped. That probably really contributed to how well they did in shipping. Two of the bags had a lot of waste at the bottom though. I am sure they were so happy to get out of those little bags! |

I may need to change the setup a little bit so I can see them a little better. My Gold Nugget likes to hang out in the open, but none of the others do. I will try to get pics asap though |

| Hello, I've been reading this thread and I'm glad that everything turned out well for you!!!! I got my first pleco on Firday and he's doing really well!!! He's in a a tank with 3 cichlids and he is the BOSS. It's so funny, he is after claiming the male cichlids cave and the cichlid is sooooo angry but any time he goes near him, the pleco gives a flick of his tail and puts the cichlid in his place!!!! It's soooo funny to watch! I'm looking forward to seeing pictures of your little guys!!!!! |

| Yea, they're funny little ones (Stacy thinks they're the cutest plecos) and seem to spend a lot of time out where we can see them. The new ones are juvies, but from size and snout, looks like we now have 2 males and 2 females total. Quote:

Its a good thing that yours can stand up to your male cichlids, cause they can get pretty nasty, lol. Quote:

| Well, if they decide to breed, then we'll be breeding them. I'd like them to and hopefully the bubble river 'cave' will appeal to them for breeding. Quote:

| I finally got some pics of them!!! They are not the greatest quality, but everyone can at least see what some of them look like. My favorite one still keeps tucking himself in the back of the tank, so I haven't been able to get a pic of him yet.
One problem.....The pic resize website isn't working on my computer for some reason. Grrrrrrr. One of these days I will get the pics posted. I wish I knew how to resize them myself! |
