Hey everyone I just got my first Pleco a while ago, and was wanting to make sure his diet was ok. I feed him a piece of cucumber and algae every alternating day, so monday - algae wafer, tues. - cucumber, wed - algae wafer. Hope that makes sense Should I be changing anything, or is this okay?

Sounds good. BN diet needs to be 90veg/10protein. A shrimp pellet can suffice for protein, maybe once a week.

I think its great!! but remember, the more you feed him, the less he does his job on the tank LOL

I feed food to my pleco every other day and he gets his cuke once a week ...but thats me ..

That sounds good to me. We feed ours a similar diet.

I usually only feed mine about every other day, alternating between veggies, algae wafers and hakari sinking wafers.
