BN question

Hey Guys and Gals

I think that i may have some issues with a BN that just joined my 70L Community tank . The tank is heavily planted and quiet established there's 2 Platys and 6 neons in the tank that are all quiet active and comfortable , but my BN seems to stay either attached to the heater or next to it , i have been keeping a close eye on him and he never moves around the tank . I have algae wafers to feed him and i have also dropped a few skinned and nuked peas in as well all of which go unnoticed .

Im getting worried ....

What are the water parameters? ammonia? Nitrites? Nitrates?
How long has the tank been set up?
How long have you had the BN?
Sorry for all the questions.

It took a number of days for my BN to realize that the zucchini and other veggies I was feeding was food! Keep putting the food in the tank in the same place every night and he should eat if he's healthy and normal. They are nocturnal and are more comfortable coming out in the dark, especially when they're new.

Do you have driftwood in there for him? BNs must have that to aid in their digestion and they also like to hang out under it and hide.

thanks for the info guys , he has driftwood and plenty of hiding places . water parameters are all good 0 , 0 , and nitrates are slightly showing tank is 23 C steady . ill try just leaving the Food in one corner .

Neons aren't the hardiest fish around. If you had them for months, then whatever killed them probably didn't come with them from the store.

For the pleco, try and get a look at his underside when he's on the glass. Check that the belly is round and not concave. Sometimes plecos get very thin and hungry in store aquariums that have no algae, if they are not properly fed.
