i'm working on getting a pic. it's probably somewhere between 5 and 10 inches. it's a dirty yellow with darker stripes that are spaced out and bar like. it also has a tall dorsal fin.
does anyone have any clue as to what kind it might be? thanks

a marble sailfin or a royal pleco would be my guess. difficult to tell without picture.

thanks. my pleco won't come out of the castle i have in the tank so a pic is impossible. i think it's because he was in with the aggressive fish at the store. not sure though

Most Plecos are nocturnal so it doesnt have to be that. But generally they do learn with time to come out into the open, if yours was scared by the aggressive fish it could take a little extra time.
