Hi!

Nope. He won't get harmed i nany way. However, the tank is too small for him. Can you find him a new home?

Hi!

He's not going t stay at 2 inches. He'll be over 10inches before you know it - I heard they get to 25" odd!

AHHH... thank you I forgot to look.
A common plec should still be fine in the 55 for at least a year I would think as long as other stocking is kept low.

Does he have a log or something like that to hide under?

If you don't have a log get a small bogwood ornament, they look good and are edible.

For the pleco anyway, I wouldn't reccomend trying to eat it.

If his is still somewhat new to the tank then hes just acclimating to his new environment, if he stil;l doesn't eat try soaking the pellet in some garlic juice, that will usually make the fish quite hungry.
