So I would say it is safe to assume that they are FW.

Yes i have one, and he's really cool. I have him in my fifty five gallon freshwater community tank. I have honestly seen him a total of three times since i put him in the tank. They are quite lazy fish. They find a good hiding spot and stay there all day. The only time i see mine is if i go down late at night and peek in. They are also carnivores mostly, so be sure to drop some extra bloodworms or food of some sort before you shut out the lights. They are also very peaceful and don't bother the other fish at all.

I have 3 and, honestly, if I had any substrate in my tank, I'd never see them. LOL They are a predator, but...they are don't eat anything unless it comes to them.

I have mine in a 20 gallon tank, with a slate and PVC to hide under.

I feed them carnivore pellets every other day. They are VERY cool to watch eat.

Of course, cleaning the tank is easy...You just move them over and continue. Touching them, catching them, etc...very easy.

Honestly, these guys are one my favorites.

To a point, yes. I feed mine during the day, and watch what they eat, to make sure that they do get enough. There have been times where they haven't eaten, but the food is gone by the next day, so I don't get too concerned.
