Need Help

not sure if my pleco is getting enough to eat. i have had him a week now the algea in my tank seems to be gone. he stays put all day about 8 30 he starts lookin for food i put a algea waffer in the tank the other fish find it but he does not always gone in the mornin

you can try feeding other things, not just algae waffers. I like to slice a zuchini and elastic it to a rock or piece of driftwood. Other fish will eat this too, but so will most plecos

what other fish do you have in the tank? Have you tried putting his food in after it's dark? maybe in a hiding spot that he likes to spend time in during the day.

he found his waffer last night i caught him with it so i feel better now and i will try some of the other ideas i have seen here when i can get to town again thanks for all your help

I recommend getting some plant weights. I bought mine for $3US. Greatest thing I have purchased for my veggies. It allows the fish to eat at the bootom of the tank where they like it, and I just have to fish out the weight once they have devowered the veggie I put down there.

I have found that 30 seconds or 1 minute in the microwave will blanch most veggies to where bottom feeders can tear it apart.
