Smaller Sized Plecos?

Hey guys, been looking for a smaller sized Pleco for our tanks, but not sure what species are out there and how big they get.

Are there any other smaller Plecos besides the Bristlenose?

What about smaller Algae Eaters in general?

Clown plecos generally stay under 4 inches.

Ottos stay under 2 or so.

Dino, would you say a clown pleco eats algae? I read somewhere they don't.

Tiger-Striped Peckoltia, if you can find them, stay small. Actually, it sounds like the Peckoltia group of plecos all stay pretty small.

Unsure. What's the latin name of the clown pleco? If it has peckoltia in it, that's a possibility.

Depending on the species.
Most clowns are more invert eatters than algae eaters as adults.
They do eat algae while they are younger and then convert over to a less vegatative diet as they age.

I have a 6" bristlenose that's ugly as , and the greatest algea eater so far I've owned. they don't get much bigger than 6" so I would definitly recommend one.

i think the bristles give it personality...make them unusual
just depends whether you want to spend loads of money on really fancy ones, or get a fairly cheap...not so pretty...one
this is a good list of plecos
