Hi* ** *Our water parameters have finally come good now. We have zero amonia ,zero nitrites and 10 ppm nitrates. We havent been posting to keep you informed because our internet went down over the weekend and has finally come back up. Before we could post we got a new female platty (Milly) who isnt a wagtail platty like the other two but our male platty doesnt seem to be showing much interest in her at all. We bought her to try to take the stress of Molly but he is still chasing Molly around just as much, who is a wagtail platty like him. Is there much difference between wagtail plattys and non wagtail plattys? I may sound confusing but I am trying to distinguish between the two and determine whether they will still breed together.

They should still breed together. I noticed my wagtail male follows my pregnant female gold twinbar, but not my non-pregnant mickey mouse platy. I am not sure if my mickey mouse has reached maturaty. Anyone know at what length that they reach maturity?

i think as far as mating, there's not really a difference, so bbfeckawitts is right, they'll breed.
