i have 3 new male platy, i have had them about a week i notice that one is a little bigger and it keeps chasing one of the other ones alot and rubbing on it, is this something that is normal for them to do? or some sort of action be taken to change this behaviour?

The only 'rubbing' I ever see in my platies is when one tries to mate with the other (apparently) and its always male on female.

So yeah, check whether its a female. They're pretty easy to sex, males have a modified anal fin (at the bottom) which turns into a backwards slung horiziontal organ (gonopodium).

Hmm, do you have enough women to keep them interested? Livebearers get slightly aggressive if there aren't enough females to go around.

1:3 is the best ratio.
