no i would love baby fry,her anus is lager than usual and the black spots are very clear do u think she is near dropping

Hello Joanne and Welcome to Fish Lore! It does sound like a good possibility that your Platy may be pregnant. Do you have the means to post a photo of the fish?
Most live bearers will give birth every 28 to 40 days.

Im curious if the fish ever had babies?

I never knew my platy was pregnant until i randomly noticed little babies in the gravel. At which point i looked at the fish trying to figure out who was having babies and could clearly see the platy was "opening up". Its pretty easy to tell.

You'll know she's ready to pop when she looks like a rectangle with fins. She sounds well along if you can see the babies in her gravid spot.

shes popped around 75 fry within 1 hour mother doing well but she seems to have strech marks on her belly is this normal ??
