I am planning on purchasing 3 platys but dont want to breed should I buy all male or all female.

Definitely get all males. Females can come home with you already pregnant

if i were you id run the risk of coming home with all ready pregnant females. Males can be AGRESSIVE. i had two male mollies at one point and they got so rough with each other i had to return one of them for a female. then again i had two male guppies for a long time and they would always hang out together and were never rough. i dont kno too much about platys but if i were you id go with the females

i would take the risk wit all female as th male wil just fight nd b competitive but if they r pregnant then u can either leave the babys in tank nd let nature take its cause or seperate them nd then give them away
