Platy fry

My platy fry is almost 2 months old. We had 5 and I have released all but 1 into my big tank. The ones I have released are doing great. However the one I still have in the breeder is extremly small. Hes active and likes to eat hes just a runt.

1.) Is there anything I can do/give my runt to help him grow faster. He eats every few hours (just like the other ones did when they were in the breeder)

2.) The fry dont have any color yet they are just pale white but they do have there black fins (sooo cute) mom is orange, a little white and some black---dont know about dad. When should my babies get color?

3.) Im sure that they will inbreed correct since they are all in the same tank? So the mother will breed with the fry? At what age will this start to occur?

and last but not least lol

4.) When should I be able to tell the sex of the fry?

Hi heather, to answer your questions...............

1. Regular waterchanges and feeding will be the best things to help your fry grow. I feed my fry 5 times a day.
2. Platy fry are born with their colours, if they're white now, they'll be white when they grow up.
3.Yes, they will all interbreed, this will start as soon as the males mature and develop the'r gonopodium which should happen around 3-4 months.
4.See 3!

They might get some spots of colour as they get older, and their fins often colour up a bit, but their base colour will remain the same. If they were going to be Sunburst they would have been born orange. Maybe their dad was white?
