After months and months of not having anything but zebra danio fry we now have platy fry!
I didnt suspect that anyone was pregnant so i havent been paying much attention. but earlier i got the urge to go look at the gravel and see how dirty it was to schedule a clean up. I was looking and then all a sudden i saw this little orange thing move! Then another.....started to look and found a few more.
We only caught 5 all together (put them in a breeder) saw a few get eaten and a few we just cant catch. (zebra danios are way easier to catch)
They are orange with little black fins......we have a sunburst wag platy i think its called.
So question-- I feed my danio fry (still have them) HBH baby bites, can i feed the plays that also?
They dont seem interested in food right now---how soon should they?
the only reason i knew they were platy fry was because moms "vent" was clearly open. a.)we bought her pregnant (she never looked pregnant) or b.) my male molly and her "got it on" lol even tho everyone says it cant happen.
Its been almost 2 hours and moms vent is still open, when should it close up?
also are platys one of those funky fish that can get pregnant for 6 months without a male?
