i feel horrible about killing those poor baby platies. i really didn't need to clean the tank today. it could have waited another 2 or 3 days *feels absolutley horrible*

Sorry about your fry. On the bright side, one thing you can count on with platys is that you will have another batch of fry in about a month or two. By then, you will be ICH-free and have a fully cycled 20 gallon.

im sorry also about your fry we all sometimes learn the hard way ....im famous for that...and the prime conditioner is awesome but your LFS guy is way wrong..prime can be added and immediately it is fine for fish also with the info he gave you about waiting 4 hours, id be leary of trusting his future information ...definitely get yourself your own test kit so you dont have to rely on them for water testing either...an API liquid master test kit is awesome and gives you 100's of tests in the one kit..good luck and remember, we all have been there before and its all about the learning and having fun of fish keeping

Hello. Sorry to hear about your fry. As it's been said many of us have been there and sometimes the best we can do is trial and error. Don't feel too badly if you can help it. We all learn something new every day. The important thing is that we learn from our own mistakes.

thanks you guys! and with the LFS guy, i might have misunderstood about the 4 hours or something. i trust him on the water tests though. my 10 gallon is finally seeming like it's ich free now. i'm so happy about that.

thanks! i'll wait another week or two just to make sure. I still have to gravel vac it to get up all the ich spores.
